Annual General Meetings

TGAA in the ACT region was started on April 14, 1992. The ACT Association covers a great amount of territory, including the Nation's capital, Canberra, the Australian Capital Territory and the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales.

Since its inception the TGAA has played a very important role in providing opportunities for members to obtain up-to-date information. Many quality talks and seminars relating to turf management have been held. The organisation is becoming well known within the industry as an active professional organisation which has benefits to all members.

It is important that general committee members are active and involved in the following areas: organising speakers, arranging venues, increasing membership, writing articles for newsletters and journals, obtaining sponsorship. To build up expertise and get more people involved it is important that new people join the committee and take on major roles.

At present, the ACT region has over 230 members and 16 major sponsors.
